How old do you have to be to get a tattoo?
It is ILLEGAL to tattoo anyone under the age of 18 in the United Kingdom — no exceptions. You must be at least 18 years old to get tattooed, even with parental consent.
Please don’t be offended if we ask to see photographic ID before your appointment. Tattooing a person under 18 is considered a criminal offence under the Tattooing of Minors Act 1969, and is treated as assault on a minor. This is taken very seriously, and we will always follow the law.
How much will my tattoo cost at Tough Love Tattoo Parlour?
The price of your tattoo depends on the size, placement, and detail of the design.

Do I need to book an appointment, or do you take walk-ins at Tough Love Tattoo Parlour?
We accept both! Walk-ins are welcome when we have space, but we always recommend booking ahead to guarantee your spot — especially for larger or more detailed pieces.
Do you do cover-ups or fix old tattoos at Tough Love Tattoo Parlour?
Absolutely — we specialise in cover-ups and reworking old tattoos. Every cover-up is different, so we’ll need to see your existing tattoo to chat through what’s possible.

How do you ensure hygiene and safety at Tough Love Tattoo Parlour?
Your safety is our top priority. We follow strict hygiene protocols, using single-use needles and sterile equipment for every client. Our studio is fully licensed, regularly inspected, and kept spotless at all times.

Do I need to pay a deposit at Tough Love Tattoo Parlour?
Yes — we require a £30 deposit to secure your booking. This goes towards the cost of your tattoo and helps cover our time if appointments are missed.
Deposits can be paid in the studio or online — just drop us a message for details. Please note: deposits are non-refundable, but can be transferred if you reschedule with enough notice.
Can I move my tattoo appointment at Tough Love Tattoo Parlour?
Yes, as long as you give us at least 72 hours’ notice, we’re happy to reschedule your appointment.
If you let us know in time, your £30 deposit will carry over to your new booking.
If you don’t give 72 hours’ notice, your deposit will be lost and a new one will be required to book again.
We get that life happens — just drop us a message as soon as you can!
How do I take care of my new tattoo?
We’ll explain how to look after your new tattoo before you leave, but it’s important to follow proper aftercare to help healing and avoid infection.
